Trout's ridiculous speed will pretty much ensure a high BA every single year. I think his power will drop a little bit this year as scouting grows, but he will still be very good... 60 XBH should be a given every year for him. I do think his recklessness is going to bite him in the *** a couple times and maybe he won't be the same guy a few years down the road. It happens to guys like him.

Posey is an amazing all-around hitter, he can hit every pitch, and he dictates PA's among the best. He hit ****in 385 in the 2nd half with a 460 wOBA, he's just incredible. Add in the fact that he is a catcher, and from the eye test, accompanied by shutdown pitching success in the postseason, he has an enormous impact on every single game. He's already had a terrible injury but I would bet he stays healthier than Trout over the next 5 seasons.

So hard to choose, but I think I take Posey. Catchers can have such a huge impact for a dynasty.

Not a perfect comparrison, but this is kind of like asking between Arod and Jeter a few years afterthey both came up. Both pretty top rated prospects playing premium positions. One of them being once and a generation talent (Arod and Trout) while the other being young leaders of multiple championship teams (Jeter and Posey). You really can't go wrong either way

I'd take Posey and not just because I'm a Giants fan. The guy is a born leader hence why we've won two world series in the last three years. Trout is amazing but Posey ability to be a leader puts him over the top for me but you can't go wrong either way...
