We can all get a good laugh from other GM's when Sandy asks for the moon for old noodle arm Johan.

Im betting he can get us an APH
Don't worry. He's got this.
My prediction is that if he remains fairly healthy and effective they end up extending him two years and fold that buyout into a new two year contract at something reasonable like $8m per with performance options. With Dickey about to be traded who is the veteran leader...Niese? Harvey, Gee and Wheeler are kids...

If we ate the money and pitches well, they could definitely get something for him. A potential frontline starter for the stretch run? If he is indeed healthy and effective, lots of teams would want him.
That's a big if though I think.
I doubt we get much even if he performs great and we pay for it. His injury risk is seriously high. This past season, in June his stock was sky high and he was the Santana of old. Then in July it all went bad due to an injury.
Unless we get blown away, I say we keep Santana. Although I have to believe should Johan go back to normal, Sandy could make magic happen.
Dont trade Johan. Trade something for a rally good CF. A young one who can play D and hit 1st
Won a batting title? Goodbye.
Earned the CY Young? Sionara.
No hitter? Pack your bags you %*#&!
Santana and cash = Vernon Wells.
Twins version of Johan, the Mets can ask for the moon.
