i was thrilled when the Lakers signed Dantoni because I knew it was the wrong choice. First, he has a complicated system that usually takes at least half of a season to really get going, he needs 2 point guards to run his system well and doesn't know what to do with post players. If Phil Jackson was coaching the Lakers, they would be winning games. With Dantoni, you get a loss to the 4-17 Cavaliers.

I feel so bad for him :/ I know he wasn't the right coach for us, but i still wish him the best in finding a team that can work with his system. You can tell how fustrated he is right now with the world and media on his shoulders.

I alway thought that he'd be perfect fit for the Rockets. Lin flourished under the system, and since that whole Houston roster is young, he's flourish against under Mike D'Antoni. Just my two cents.

    What a straight up lie.
    Half hour?
If that's true then that man should be ashamed.

Lakers fans, you have my condolences.

Expect a lot more wrath from the basketball gods for selecting this *** clown over perhaps the greatest coach ever.

    Enough J.R., 3 p.m. tipoff 2morrow!

well I bashed this guy left and right and he deserved it, but I'm also fair, what you didn't hear correctly was he wasn't talking practice.........he was talking in the film room which goes what 45 min to an hour?

Now if he truly spoke a half hour only the coach's and players themselves know.

But I don't miss this arrogant, self ego minded guy one bit...........and he continues to prove that no matter who he has on his roster be it Amare, Melo, Howard, Kobe, he is trash without a top PG and so far that guy is Nash.

I'll bet Mike is begging Nash to get on the court before those 2 weeks he mentioned yesterday.

I mean even in our best moments with him we still hovered around .500..........his in game abilities are simply horrid.

And he lets teams back into it with that freelance take bombs early in the clock.

I can't feel sorry for anyone who makes that kind of money for the results, highway robbery.

Maybe Nash will resurrect him again.

I was actually thinking last night, were we ever really THAT bad? I mean we weren't contenders with the roster we had, but we should have still been better with Amare & Melo.

Watching D'antoni struggle with Kobe, Howard, MWP, Jamison & Gasol makes me realize he's just too stubborn and PG driven.

Woody just wins... period. We played without Amare & without Lin last year and we still went 18-6 under Woody.

This year we play without Shump, Amare, Camby, and Brewer has been non-existent lately and we still just win. Kidd was out, Melo missed games, Wallace...so many guys not here at times and all we do is win.
