Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times reports the the Dodgers have acquired Skip Schumaker from the Cardinals.
There's no word yet on what the Cards are getting in return. Schumaker will be used as a backup at second base and in the outfield and will be reunited with former hitting coach Mark McGwire. The 32-year-old is a career .305/.359/.403 hitter against right-handed pitching, so he's not a bad guy to have on the bench, and he's slated to make just $1.5 million in 2013.

Lemmerman is nothing but a utility guy.

Fundamentally smart, not a whole lot of upside. Should be in Memphis next year as a back up to Wong and Garcia. Probably be a utility player in the bigs by 2014 though.
