I really hope the Bears decide to draft a backup QB rather than spending money on one like Campbell. Especially if they aren't sure if Jay is going to be their long term QB beyond next year.

If I had to guess I'd say it's because most backup QB's suck. Might not make sense to spend $3 million on a guy who isn't very good when you can find someone who sucks for less.

    2012/2013 FA and Trade Ideas

Jay will go down, with that line so... I will give 3-4 mil to insure a game. But we need a dude like Carr, henne, matt moore

Exactly, that 3 million could go to better use. Plus, we don't have Angelo anymore, I would like to think Emery could do better than drafting someone like Enderle.

Emery highly values CB's anywhere he goes. Expect a corner to be taken early

So would 31 other teams. Murray is a 1st Rd pick and Teddy Bridgewater of Louisville and Kevin Hogan of Stanford are the only QB prospects I would consider better than Murray right now.

I like Matt Scott a decent bit if we are talking development type projects.

Bears fans...my brothers...I come to you for guidance. As much as I want the Bears to win the Super Bowl this season and talk nonnnnnn-stop trash to all the braggers who dismissed the Bears ...I just don't see it happening. Below are my adderall thoughts on what a dream off-season scenario would look like to me. BUT PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU COMMENT: I knowww this is far-fetched an highly highly unlikely...but is it plausible? And if not...why? I'm not here to argue...just make myself feel better knowing that we can address our issues this offseason so when we enter 2013/2014...we can dream big and hopefully this time..it is warranted.

-Bring in Bill Cowher has HC
    -Switch to a 3-4 Defense
-Trade Charles Tillman for an early 3rd round pick
-Do not re-sign Henry Melton or Nick Roach
-Sign Branden Albert, Aqib Talib, Tony Scheffler in F/A

    Draft:
Round 1- Chance Warmack G Alabama
Round 2- Stedman Bailey WR West Virginia
Round 3 (Tillman Pick)- Margus Hunt DE SMU
Round 4- Tyrann Mathieu CB LSU
Round 5- Gabe Jackson G Mississippi St

    2013/2014 Depth Chart:

    Offense:
    QB- Jay Cutler
    WR- Brandon Marshall
    WR- Stedman Bailey
    WR- Alshon Jeffery
    RB- Matt Forte
    RB- Michael Bush
    TE- Tony Scheffler

    LT- Branden Albert
    LG- Chance Warmack
    C- Robert Garza
    RG- Gabe Jackson
    RT- Jonathan Scott

    Defense:
    DE- Margus Hunt
    NT- Stephen Paea
    DE- Israel Idonije

    OLB- Julius Peppers
    MLB- Brian Urlacher
    MLB- Lance Briggs
    OLB- Shea McClellin

    CB- Tim Jennings
    SS- Chris Conte
    FS- Major Wright
    CB- Aqib Talib
    Nickle CB- Tyrann Matheiu

I'm in my early 20's and desperately want the Bears to not only succeed..but be a team that enters every season with a chance to win a Super Bowl. I WANT AN EFFING DYNASTY. Getting rid of JA was a great start...but thats all it was..a start.

Side Note...I went to WVU and have watched almost every single WVU game the past 3 seasons and can honestly say that without question...Stedman Bailey is a STUD. Catches EVERYTHING thrown to him...runs perfect routes...and has good speed.

You don't catch 101 balls and have 23 TD's in 1 season playing in the Big 12 and not possess something..

Yes he is undersized...but wasn't/isn't Steve Smith? The kid can BALL

But going off of draft boards (as of now..i know a lot can change) and free agents...I don't see where it becomes impossible??

Margus Hunt will prolly move up into the 1st/2nd round..but who knows? I'm sure there would another valuable DE available...Stedman Bailey may move into the 1st round, but who knows?

I love Alshon as a Chris Henry 2.0 kind of WR. Remember how sick he was when he was 3rd WR with Chad and TJ?
