I have no confidence in a sample size of 6 games especially at the start of a career. Interesting? Maybe. Meaningful? Absolutely not!
Bill Parcells: "You are what your record says you are."
From the "you can't make this stuff up" department:

Exactly. Only he can prove us wrong, or right with his play, and in order to do that, he needs more starts. But I don't think it's a far fetch to say he could be great one day, Harbaugh would not start him in the middle of a SB run if he didn't see potential among other qualities to warrant the risk for the reward.

most of those numbers will go down as time goes on and more games are logged. Kaepernick has played against some mediocre teams. A crumbling Bears team who was overwhelmed on MNF and without Cutler, rams, dolphins, saints and their last ranked pass defense. Smith has logged way more games against really good defenses. Kaepernick's numbers will be lower by the time he's played 1 1/2 seasons under Harbaugh like Smith has. Still no doubt the upside in Kaepernick is greater, but don't look too much into these ranks when comparing the two. Can't compare a guy who's played 5 games to a guy who's played 20+.

So nervous about this game. Patriots are a great team. Lets go Niners![]()
Five rounds went by in the 2000 draft... After 198 other players had been chosen, the Patriots drafted him in the sixth round.
Owner Robert Kraft recalls the night he was leaving the old Foxboro Stadium when he saw "this skinny beanpole" carrying a pizza. "He comes up and says, 'Mr. Kraft, I'm Tom Brady.' I said, 'I know who you are, you're our sixth-round draft choice from Michigan.' "And he looked me right in the eye and he said, 'and I'm the best decision this organization has ever made.' "

Packers going for that second cede baby, lets go Pats!
Yes you did. But let's not forget, pretty common occurance for the Bills D this year. I mean come on, look what Alex Smith did to that defense. The Seachickens are playing great complete football for the past two weeks. Which by coincidence happened to be against the Cardinals and Bills....
