And David Wright wasn't happy that details of his contract went public before he signed.
Even if it's true it's all posturing.
Let's see the outcome.
How come none of this stuff ever remains private????
Because the mets have a long history of poor PR control.
It's nothing new.
I don't blame RA for being pissed. And it the organization that should have kept their "unhappiness" private.
What I don't understand is that Dickey with a 3/31 would be just as tradeable as with a 1/5, if not more. The man is giving a discount.
**** this franchise.

We have a bunch of **** ups running this organization. They seem to have a problem with every player that puts on the cruddy uniform. How many fan favorites will they eventually run out of town? If you have issues with R.A. Dickey then you have serious problems. I swear to God if Gary Carter played for these clowns when they had a majority stake they'd be complaining about Kid, play the role of martyrs and run him out of town.
By the way, is there some tactical advantage to not being transparant about your plans to fix this team/orgainization?
I really have yet to hear a solid plan - seems very shady and not truthful every time they make a "statement"
I really used to despise the Yankees for buying everyone they could to keep winning and always over-slotting in the draft, but at least they are upfront about their direction and goal of winning every year....
I wish the Wilpons would just sell the team and go make billions somewhere else (sadly we will probably never see that day)
They don't even like the Mets - citi field being a hommage to the Dodgers?? The biggest shrine to a Dodger?? You don't see the Yankees honoring Ted Wiliams in the main entrance to their stadium...
uhhhhgg.. I just can't stand what the Wilpons are doing to the Mets... It is really making me question who I should be supporting - why can't we just walk away?
