I love this signing. If he can return to form, he'll be HUGE for us. Even if he can't, he's better than what we have.
    O-H-I-O!

I'd like to say I'm happy.

But his batting stance makes me want to punch him in the face. Every time.

Let's just say nothing used to make me happier than Joba throwing high heat on Youkilis. In baseball terms it's a solid signing though.

As far as you daytoner, I won't take too stooping down too your level of insulting someone on a sports forum like a child..

2011 Gold Glove Winners: Brett Gardner Omission Shows How Useless Awards Are:

    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/9...ess-awards-are

"Gardner led baseball in ultimate zone rating (UZR) and tied for the league lead in defensive runs saved (DRS). Not just among outfielders, among every qualified player at every position.

Granted, advanced metrics are still working on better ways to analyze fielders, but for now those are the best numbers available. And anybody who watched Gardner on a consistent basis would say those numbers match up well with the infamous eye test.

Alex Gordon of the Kansas City Royals edged out Gardner for the award. While Gordon had a solid defensive season and has a cannon for an arm, his numbers just don't match those of Gardner.

Gardner's UZR was 15 points higher than Gordon's and Gardner beat him 22 to 4 in DRS. Even though the Yankees left fielder couldn't match Gordon's assist numbers, his arm still rated above average among LFs."

So if your so high on Gold Gloves. Gardner should have had one in 2011. Again, like I said. The award has become an embarrassment.

Not much of a positive or negative in my opinion, the Yankees are going to most like lyget worse at RF/C and this season is going to be a struggle... I hope I'm wrong.. Go Yanks!!!
