This is what I get for falling asleep at 6:00 P.M. last night. I missed the news lol.

I love this signing. I think it brings some stability to this lineup. He should be able to thrive at Yankee Stadium. And on a one year deal, this is an awesome deal.

Hey if we sign Raul, it would make for a great environment....first the "Youuuuk" chants, than then "Rauuuul" chants. Baseball fans need to be more passionate and stadiums a hell of a lot more louder IMO.

Thank you Mo! We will forever be grateful for your service to our team not only as a player, but as a person. A living legend. You will forever be in our hearts, and forever be the greatest of all time. Now go get them one last time, Sandman!

It's things like this that really amaze me. Why would ANYONE give a flying hoot about a players batting stance?

I actually am amazed when guys have odd stances or motions yet manage to get the job down. I wonder if his stance makes it more difficult for him to work with hitting coaches.

I like the move, even if they overpaid for him. As I read through the thread there are some that would prefer to cheaper options and keep Martin. Apparently, the Yankees believe Martin wasnt worth the 3 yrs. Maybe they are really thinking about AJ? Or that Romaine is close to MLB ready.

Does it really matter how long he is signed for? You cant tell me he is the best option that was available and at that price.

I'm not sure there were better options, but there were vastly cheaper options. Ones that might have allowed us to bring back Martin, or at least have a MLB caliber starter at catcher.

I've been out of pocket for the past 3 weeks so I've missed a lot but were the Yankees linked to Jeff Keppinger at all? I see that he signed for 3/12 with the White Sox. He's the guy I had hoped we might end up with.
