I do like the idea of statues. It has to be inside the stadium though. Might be a good marketing scheme for the organization. Statues for different levels. One has to buy a particular level seat to see the x statue they want.

If Fernando can't get his jersey officially retired, I don't see how he would get a statue.

Because he's an iconic LA figure and it is Dodger stadium, not Ebbets field. I would give Jackie, Roy, and the Duke a display for sure. Newcome as well. maybe in a "boys of summer" plaza. Don't all have to have big statues either. Could have monuments for Hodges and the boys.

other than that, LA figures should be on display. Koufax, the Infield, Fernando, Mourey Wills, Tommy, etc. The Hall of Fame standard is great for retired numbers. It shows how great the franchise truely is. But ignoring figures like Fermando and especially Garvey because they aren't in the hall...hogwash. Perfectly statue worthy.

Not sure if we've talked about this before, but what are your guys thoughts on having to be in the hall of fame to get your jersey retired? I don't really love that rule

    its a stupid rule ^

some players make a BIG impact on their team.

if the hall of fame doesnt think their worthy it shouldnt stop a team from rewarding them for their merits smh

    rules can suck a fatty

I see the point, but at the same time I think guys like Fernando, Hershiser, Garvey did enough for the organization to have their jerseys at the very least "unofficially" retired.

I think the rule should be lifted in special circumstances.

Kasten said they will release the stadium plans in January. So hopefully we know soon. Sick of waiting.

Especially during the 7th inning stretch. I hope they make the layout simple. I would hate seeing bunch of unnecessary things displayed.
