Former NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue has vacated all of the discipline against current and former Saints players accused in the bounty scandal, according to NFL Public Relations Director Greg Aiello, who put out the news on his Twitter account.

However, Tagliabue did affirm the findings of Commissioner Goodell that former Saint Anthony Hargrove and current Saints Will Smith and Jonathan Vilma "engaged in conduct detrimental..." to the league.

Aiello Tweeted that the findings could certainly justify fines, but that the waters had been muddied by leaders - coaches and organizational staff - of the club.

The only problem, like Jeff Duncan tweeted, is that the NFL still found the team guilty, not the players. So the pick will still be taken away and Payton is still suspended. Those are really the only 2 things I care about. Vilma and Smith are both invisible on the field, I can care less if their punishments are taken away

I care more about the image of the Saints organization than the Draft pick. They defamed the Saints trying to make it seem like they'd be willing to intentionally try to hurt fellow ball players with dirty plays an inaccurate accusation and that pissed me off the most. I agree GW should been punished for the pay for performance. They Roger Goodell just handled this poorly imo. And as I said before I think GW holds enough authority to be accountable for his actions and words without punishing hiss bosses.

My point is its not like he was a position coach guy was the D Coordinator he can effect change with his decisions so he should also be deemed worthy to accept sole responsibility for his decisions.

I never believed in punishing everybody for the actions of one especially if the one responsible is at a DC level.

I wouldve fined and suspended GW and thats about it.

I know Tags is counsel to the law firm that is representing that douche bag Goodell, but I still have a lot of respect for him. In my opinion he has saved our team twice now.

Great interview with DeMaurice Smith. I like this guy alot, he's the perfect guy for the NFLPA, fights for their rights well well!

Explains why Sean Payton's suspended won't be lifted. The players' have someone to fight for them, a union (NFLPA). Coaches don't.
