More important for a successful offense: OL or HB?

Whats more important to an offense? The Offensive Line or the runningback?

IMO, its OL hands down. They are out there every play (no subs) and influence blocking on every play.

Teams can also use multiple runningbacks for multiple roles, not possible on the OL.

Anyways, I'm curious to hear some opinions on this.

id go with Oline because even with an average running back a Great oline can make him look good.

There are 5 offensive linemen and 1 running back, so...

    RB x 5 = OL

    That's the formula, right?!

Indeed. If we're talking the offensive line in general instead of a piece, kinda hard to go against the accumulation of the offensive line.

Maybe if you would have said O-Line+TE vs. [non-quarter]backs/receivers this would be worthwhile.

O line by far, a good O line can make any RB look good along with improve your pass game.

    Since its obviously OL...

How would you rank the importance of the positions on offense?

The QB and OL need to be playing well for a successful offense, that is the first part I think we can all agree with.

I think everything else after that has more to do with scheme and could be different for a different teams. If so how would you value players when drafting / signing players to build a team?
