Report: Raptors shopping Andrea Bargnani, nobody interested

While Casey is under contract through next season, Colangelo's deal expires after this season and he's well aware that he needs to turn this tide. To that end, the Raptors are dangling seventh-year center and 2006 No. 1 pick Andrea Bargnani as trade bait but don't have any takers thus far.

The Lakers have been reported as a possible destination for Bargnani as part of a possible deal involving forward Pau Gasol, but the big man is up for discussion in any and all trade talks so long as the potential pieces coming Toronto's are good enough that they could help right this ship. Point guard Jose Calderon has made it clear that he would like to be traded, and Colangelo continues to explore the possibilities there as well. A Raptors trade of some significance, more than likely, is on the horizon.

There are takers, just none willing to give good enough players to right the damned ship that the Raps find themselves on. Maybe teams would be interested if Calderon was packaged with Bargnani...

    Not surprised.

Cant believe he went #1. 2006 was such a weak draft, with some exceptions. (LMA, Gay, Roy, Novak etc...)

Anyone want to redo the top 15, knowing the players now?

I'm sure there are people interested, I'm just sure Toronto is asking way too much.

As a Lakers fan this news makes me feel relieved... I was dreading a Possiblie Pau for Bargnani swap. That guy is awful.

Really hope it' not that because Andrea right now isn't worth much. But Calderon wants out and he is an expiring, So I'm sure that has more value. Probably gonna have to package them but if we want a lot in return we would have to give up a young player. I'm not about that right now.

He's an overhyped, overpaid Byron Mullens.

bargnani would shine playing PF at the side of a DEFENSIVE center that is a good rebounder.
They should try to make a Damaged Goods exchange.

    bargs for Stou
    or Bargs for Boozer.

You honestly have a hard time buying that no one wants that contract?

Hes a good player but I would hope the GM's see him as having negative trade value and with a contract that big, its not going anywhere, not with harsher rules ahead.
