signing Ichiro is nice but now look at the leaguethe Angels 34 headers and Detroit 34 headers are pretty freaking scary

50 PA: Swing %
100 PA: Contact Rate
150 PA: Strikeout Rate, Line Drive Rate, Pitches/PA
200 PA: Walk Rate, Groundball Rate, GB/FB
250 PA: Flyball Rate
300 PA: Home Run Rate, HR/FB
500 PA: OBP, SLG, OPS, 1B Rate, Popup Rate
550 PA: ISO

UGH. This pretty much puts a nail in the "2 year contract" coffin.
Can't say I'm happy about this at all unless Cashman has a significant trade in mind to change the context a little...or sign Swisher and make Ichiro an expensive 4th outfielder which will not happen.
I know people like to look at the half season he was here but this is his slash line the last two complete years -

Eduardo Nunez does that. I'm not advocating Nunez for RF because I think thats a terrible line out of a RF. Just shows the production Ichiro has done for the last two years.
