He just wouldn't be the kind of guy we'd sign.

We'll see......Green Grant and Harris looked serviceable and Benson can still return I believe. Who knows....don't see Jacobs as a possibility at all.

Didn't even know he played for SanFran..
Five rounds went by in the 2000 draft... After 198 other players had been chosen, the Patriots drafted him in the sixth round.
Owner Robert Kraft recalls the night he was leaving the old Foxboro Stadium when he saw "this skinny beanpole" carrying a pizza. "He comes up and says, 'Mr. Kraft, I'm Tom Brady.' I said, 'I know who you are, you're our sixth-round draft choice from Michigan.' "And he looked me right in the eye and he said, 'and I'm the best decision this organization has ever made.' "

Cedric Benson is out for the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery Wednesday to repair a Lisfranc sprain.
He'll remain on injured reserve through the playoffs. "I thought Benson was playing very well each and every week [before the injury]," said coach Mike McCarthy. The Packers will continue to use an ineffective three-man, fantasy-draining rotation of James Starks, Alex Green, and John Kuhn. GM Ted Thompson's reluctance to part with a mid-round pick for a veteran back at the trade deadline could come back to haunt the Packers. Benson will approach 2013 free agency as a 30-year-old back coming off Lisfranc surgery, which means he will spend another offseason waiting for a team to get desperate before showing serious interest. Brandon Jacobs right now isn't better than Hunter. No way, no how. Hunter was averaging 5+ YPC and was a perfect compliment to Gore.

Jacobs does his best "Dances with the Stars" impression before hitting any hole, and hits it about as hard as a summer breeze...
