Eh, it's been so long...who knows who comes into the game with the least bit of momentum. I am looking forward to a pair of fundamentally sounds football teams going head-to-head, in a BCS Championship Game nobody can complain about.

I was just thinking the same thing. I saw a promo for the game and it seems like its been forever since there was a meaningful CFB game and there is still 2 weeks till the NC game. Well both teams should be rested. And both played intense meaningful final games. Should be a solid match up.
UGA and Texas A&M were pretty close to that number. why is it so hard to beleive ND could? people seme to think its a forgone conclusion bama can do it to ND, despite ND giving up more than 20 only once (in a 3 OT game) and giving up less than 2 touchdowns in 9 of their 12 games

Well regardless of the outcome AJ McCarron is the winner. Check out his girlfriend....

Because those offenses are much better than ND's. Because those teams have top flight QBs.
ND's offense isn't nearly as good as those two (it's not even close), and ND's QB isn't even in the same stratosphere as Manziel and Murray.
I'd take both those team's run games over ND's as well.

The Irish can probably score that many if they force turnovers and got a short field like Ohio St did in that '02 title game vs Miami. The Canes had the best offense in the country but lost because they gave it away five times. Like those Buckeyes, ND doesn't have the kind of offensive firepower that just goes up and down the field on most teams, but Bama has turned it over 9 times over their last 5 games.
my point is simple. people act like alabamas defense is invinciabe. it's clearly not, there are areas and aspects that ND can exploit. and that doesnt go to my second point, where people just assume Bamas offense will put up 30, depsite the fact that no one has come close to doing that to ND this year at all.
