QBR:
1)Peyton Manning 82.4
2)Tom Brady 79.6
3)Colin Kaepernick 78.1
4)Matt Ryan 73.7
5)Robert Griffin III 71.3
6)Aaron Rodgers 70.8
7)Alex Smith 69.8
Win %:
1)Matt Schaub .917
2)Matt Ryan .846
3)Peyton Manning .769
4)Colin Kaepernick .750
5)Alex Smith .722
Although those are the percentages, it really isn't fair to everyone on that list. Kaepernick has started 4 games and he's 3-1 which is nice. But Ryan is 11-2 while playing in all 13 games. The top 3 has played in every game this season. At this point with Kaep, I'm trying not to look at the stats anymore except for one..wins and losses. I'm not a backer of Kaepernick, but the Niners are winning and thats fine by me.
Sitting here in truck waiting to puck up kids, and heard on NFL radio.
Kaep pass to TD 56 to 1
Alex 17 to 1

Harbaugh annointed Kaep the starter.
And truthfully, that's the end of the discussion.

Kap is the starter... Alex is not.
No need to debate this anymore....

WINNING!
If one they dropped one of those games, he goes from 75% to 50%. I'm just saying that I would like to see Kaepernick play a few more games before throwing winning % stats out there. He's had a few good ones and a few bad ones that the defense bailed him out of one (Saints' game). In the last 2 games, the Niners 3rd down conversion percentage is at 19% and 29% since Kaep became the starter. I throw that out there because some people keep saying how much more efficient on 3rd down the Niners have been since Kaep became the starter. For the season, the Niners are at 29% so its not like he's really making them better on 3rd downs.

Pretty sure that isn't up for debate. Kaep is the starter.
The debate is - does he still deserve to be? Since he's won more than he's lost, hard to say he doesn't. Of course time will tell if Harb's is a mastermind, or a feeble-mind. Personally I'm hoping for the former.

That will always be questioned, but it's not going to make any difference from here on out (regardless of where you stand on the issue).
I think at this stage in the season it's time to focus discussion on NE and SEA. Some big games with potentially huge implications.
Yeah, it's somewhat clear that our QB doesn't majorly dictate our type of play so to me this thread is pointless until kaep has more experience under his belt and you can truly pick apart the differences in their individual skill sets and accomplishments..

HOWEVER....no one here brings up smiths stats pre 2011....that's some bull ****, in that way many pro smith arguments are invalid to me, cuz I could just talk about how great kaep is bcuz he beat the bears that one time..
ALSO....zito and smith are similar in that they were **** on for "under performing" but once zito got run support, and smith got coach support then tables turned, if anything smith shouldn't get as much credit for his performance, JH and crew deserve more credit than they are lauded..

Because they aren't relevant. What matters is Kaep now and Alex now, not Kaep in college or Alex under Singletary.
And I don't think ANYONE ever took credit away from what Harbs did for Alex. But, what about what Alex did for Harbs in his Coach of the Year award? If Alex was the same Alex of 2009, would Harbs have been COY?
Of course none of that matters... the here and the now matter. What matters for now is the Pat's game on Sunday.
