raw, or did you use straps and belt?

my best, with straps and a belt, is 465.... without straps and a belt, its probally literally 100 pounds less...

my grip strength is just pathetic right now..

ive been doing more reps lately, easier on my lower back. grip is slowly coming up.

Straps only, I dont use belts. The most I've tried dead'ing with bare hands was 225

do you do DLs often? I'm shocked that your PR is only 455 based on some of your other lifts. I would assume you're easily 500+

I bet you there is some inefficiency there if you do them often and still aren't progressing past that.

I was the same way until last week. This thread got me thinking. So I tried 285 and it felt ok. When I went to 315 365 385 I used straps

I never tried to do more, always stopped at 455. I'm sure I can hit 500+. I haven't dead'd in several months. I just started it up again two weeks ago but only doing 225 because I am targeting reps.

I don't think I've ever used straps to deadlift honestly.

Me too. But I also get that shakiness when doing leg press, usually its just cuz my muscles are so shot from squats by then. I had just assumed it was normal, since both exercises hit same exact muscles

Either could be weak/tired muscles, or not properly warmed up muscles.

It may be the latter. I usually use the foam roller and stretch for about 10 minute before any leg work though. Squats are the only thing that is affected really(close to 100 lbs less) Leg extention, hamstring curls and calf raises are still really high. I'll save the leg press for a cool down at the end of my work out then.
