Redskin fans sometimes forget they have a defense, that should about sum it up for you.

    Redskins Defense:

28th in Total Defense (388.1 Per Game)
31st in Passing Defense - (289.3 Per Game)
7th in Rushing Defense - (98.8 Per game)
    23rd in Scoring - (25.3 Per Game)

    3rd in Takeaway Differential at +12. (24 Total Takeaways, 15 Int's and 9 Fumbles)

Looks like there will be some opportunites in the passing game if Weeden can stay accurate and consistent which is right now a big questions. Need to eliminate turnovers like last week to be in this game IMO if RG3 does play.

Richardson needs a breakout game. This would be a nice spot for it. Plus I see Gordon continuing to ball out and have another solid game.

Redskins wideout may have let something slip re: RG3

Posted by Darin Gantt on December 11, 2012, 11:56 AM EST

While all the reports on Robert Griffin III seemed positive yesterday, Redskins wide receiver Pierre Garcon may have let the cat out of the bag regarding his quarterback’s status for this week’s game.

Talking about their meeting with Cleveland, he said on ESPN’s SportsCenter (via CSNWashington.com) “We have a little bit tougher of a task with Kirk starting.”

“We have to play well around Kirk so Kirk doesn’t feel like he has to save the team and help him to be a comfortable as possible,” he continued.

“Kirk” would be Kirk Cousins, the rookie backup, and it’s unclear if Garcon just misspoke or was preparing for something the players are planning on happening.

Coach Mike Shanahan said he didn’t rule Griffin out with a knee sprain, but didn’t rule him in, either.

Hopefully he just misspoke. I really want to see us go up against RG3.

I don't care who goes as long as it ends in a win. The following two weeks they are going to get HOF QB's in Manning and Rapelisburger so who cares if they play RG3 or not. The fans can see where the team has come against those two and on the road as well. I'll take the W this week to keep the PLAYOFF HOPES ALIVE.

If RG3 isn't completely healthy, i'd rather us play Cousins. Also, aside from that freak game against Baltimore last week, we usually don't give up a lot of rushing yards, I don't know how well Richardson is going to do on the ground. Our secondary is non-existent, just throw it deep to Gordon every play and you'll put points on the board.

Robert Griffin III's father told USA Today Tuesday that the quarterback "definitely" plans to start at Cleveland in Week 15.
"He's doing great," Robert Griffin II said. "He definitely said he plans to start. I haven't seen him (the last two days). But he told me (today) everything has gone well. ... Monday he said he felt really good. Today he felt better. Every day he's getting better. Monday he had no problems and throughout the workout, he had no problems." Multiple reports suggest Redskins players have not been briefed on RGIII's outlook, so don't put much stock in Pierre Garcon's prediction that Kirk Cousins will play.

It really crippled their defense when they lost both Brian Orakpo and Adam Carriker for the year back in Week 2. That has really limited their pass rush. The two of them had 14.5 sacks last year. As a team through 13 games, they have 23, good for 28th in the league.

Yeah that definately hurt them. It's not going to help either when they go up against the Brownies improved Pass Protect line. I don't see them getting a sack unless its a coverage sack where Weeds holds onto the ball too long which easily could happen as it did twice last week when KC only sent 3 rushers.

ESPN has a story on website stating that RGIII was "gimpy" at practice today. Don't care one way or another if he plays...we need our DBs to shut down Mount Union's own Pierre Garcon and Santana Moss (not too worried about Josh Morgan) while our D-Line and LBs need to remain disciplined to keep him from getting loose...hopefully the bad wheel keeps him in the pocket.

I don't expect the Browns to win Sunday, but I expect the game to be close throughout. The big difference between the Browns at this point and perennial playoff teams is knowing how to finish off games...once they show me that they can get a lead against a quality opponent and close out the game, this team will have taken the next step toward competing for the AFC Central Division title year in and year out!

It is a GOOD time to be a Cleveland Browns fan....haven't been able to say that for a LOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGG time...and it feels goooooooooooooood to be able to say it!

I do expect us to win to be honest. I like the momentum we have going and it being the last home game will have the Fans going wild and the players should be pumped up to go too.

3 in a row at home with 2 against winning record teams. I don't care Charlie Batch or not that team still went to Baltimore and beat the Ravens so I think they have showed lately that they can close games at Home. I expect them to win this game with or without RG3. They are healthy, more well rounded on D than Wash and besides RG3 every position matches up from both offenses. I think if Weeden is smart with the ball and no turnovers on Special Teams that this should be a W.

I have heard the same. Sorry I've been away boys. As I was reading to catch up I noticed activity has been down. Sorry I've been away. New job and getting married got in the way.

Can't believe the Browns are in a "playoff" conversation going into week 13. A long shot but after starting 0-5 I have been waiting for them to be mathematically eliminated.

I hope so. The team is starting to mature and look good. It will be a good test for our D, but also a good way to be excited going into the offseason/playoffs shortly.
