Everybody is complaining about Pau but nobody is saying anything about the inconsistency of Ron Artest. His defense is not the same anymore. His game is not transitioning like it use to. We need to get younger there and a better shooter and defender. He's going threw the motion out there. Ron and Kobe should be locking up opposing teams best players and I have been seeing scrubs get the best of them. Pau is just not the problem. If we do make a trade we need to get a stretch 4 and a small forward or a shooting guard so Kobe can play the three spot. Defense starts at the perimeter and we have done a bad job there. Getting Nash back won't solve that

I'm just not liking the makeup of this team. We're so old, and don't have good athletes on this team outside of Dwight.

Yeah, Ron's defense has definitely fallen off. Just seems like he isn't making plays anymore. Offensively he's been so much better, but defensively it hasn't been the same Ron.

Lakers need more hustle. They need to be diving for loose balls and **** like that. That's what made the old Lakers good. They had Cooper and Rambis and AC Green. When those guys made plays like that, the crowd would get pumped up and everyone was happy.

This team seems too cool for school..............ain't gonna cut it. Get the books out!!!

Phil is the MASTER he would have worked up something special for this squad...would have kept Pau where he belongs IN THE POST!!! not shooting jumpers and 3's!!!. You guys seem to forget both of those rings were on the back of pau as much as any one else on that team.Stop feeding the monster and wake the fugg up!!!!!! Our real problem cant be traded....he sits in his fuggin high chair with that jerry jones syndrome

    Agreed!

Jim Buss is the problem. I pray everyday that his daddy is going to ground him again like he did back in 2007 and let Jeanie make the important decisions.

Kobe and MWP are strectched too thin

Playing more backup 3 as well now. Before he was just playing 1 and 2, but now itsm1. 2, and 3 every game. Jamison was poorly suited there, and MD corrected the mistake, but he stopped Twan from playing that role by having Kobe play that role to rest Ron and benefit Meeks, case and point Kobe didnt sit in the second half of this game or the Thunder game. He still has to play with Morris and be the pg as well to get guys looks, and he still has to be the SG with the starters. Too many hats for him, one too many has been added.

Metta also has a new role of playing backup PF now since the 4th quarter if the Hornets game as Jamison sprained his ankle and is wearing a brace according to John Ireland, so we are playing Metta as the reserve 4 for stretches. Case and point he played the whole 4th vs NOLA as a PF, played vs OKC as a PF when Jamison sat in the third, and played PF both halves tonight.

They need to find a damn backup who can rest Kobe and Ron, not a combo guard, but a swing player, as they are going to run them in the ground to its them who get hurt, simply because they are in better shape and compete harder than their other teammates, so they just d it, don't whine or make excuses buts its telling that they are doing the majority of the heavy lifting for this team and we have no one to alleviate their workload despite their play being elevated from last year

This team's real problem is turnovers and DEFENSE. Steve Nash isn't going to make us a better defensive team. We need to get Nate McMillan to come in as our "defensive coordinator".
    This.

Dwight is too passive as of late, he barely tries to post up people when he gets the ball in the post.

This ship is sinking and fast. Its time to either trade Pau for some good bench players or get rid of D Antoni. Right now, this team looks absolutely pathetic under his system. At some point this team will self destruct with all of the egos on this team being hit by shots to their pride. They are better than this but something just is not clicking.
