Just doesn't make sense with Odorizzi being close to MLB ready. Royals desperately need a young controllable pitcher like him.

Would of really liked it for both sides if it was Shields and Davis for Myers and Montgomery.

Even then it doesn't make sense. They traded Odorizzi who has great potential and was a candidate for the 2013 rotation. That's ignoring the fact that they also gave up Wil Meyers.

Montgomery took a step back last year and hasn't really bowled anyone over in the PCL.

Walking 4.2 guys per 9 innings and giving up a 110 hits in 91 innings.

He wasn't particularly good in AA either before his move to Omaha.

More talent than what the Jays got for Halladay

The Royals can't honestly believe that they have a chance at winning the Division let alone either of the two wild card spots with this team.

Yah but its the Rays. If they can make Hellickson good then they can bring Ordorizzi and Montgomery back

red sox shouldve made this trade with lester and aceves/morales pretty much the same thing. I dont see why the royals gave up so much im guessing the rays FO are jumping around at their office in a cheer for actually adding a bat to their team and getting odorizzi and montgomery

What are you talking about? Hellickson was always elite as a prospect. Some of the best pitchability, especially for his age, in the majors.
