To me the most concerning thing is that the rebuilding years are full of mediocrity, while the moves that are supposed to put us over the hump generally make us worse off, both on the court and financially. That's the rub, Colangelo's actions always end up taking the opposite course of his intentions. His big splashes, instead of being big splashes are usually a mid-level acquisition that somehow has a negative impact. I bet if he went all-in for an obvious tank job we'd end up in the second round and give the Knicks/Heat a run.
