    Lin

Anybody know why Lin only saw 18 min against Mavs? I'm not here to bash Lin, but he has been playing "safe" since the start of the season. I don't like his "sit around the arc(hasn't been a good shooter this yr) and watch Harden" all game. If Harden is going to play both Pg and SG should we be looking to move Lin? If this is his new persona? I've seen no aggressiveness what so ever. I would like Brandon Jennings along side Harden.

Just food for thought.. what about Josh Smith for Patterson/cook or Patterson/T.Jones? Him and Asik would be a nice front court with Parsons.

I just want to know how other Rockets fans feel?

Mostly because of his defensive presence and rebounding. With him and Harden in a two man game pick and roll? Add Jennings(if we were able to move Lin) that's a pretty dynamic offense. Defense wins champions and having Smith and Asik guarding our paint wouldn't be too shabby.

I would much rather have Lin than Jennings because with Lin, Harden will get more shots.

With Lin, Harden would get L's too! If he continues to play like he's on a 2nd round rookie contract than his 3 yr./25 mil contract then why not consider Brandon Jennings. He shoots a lot because he have to, beside Ellis no ones even close to his offensive skill set.

There's no way the Bucks will let Jennings go, he will get a max contract from them. And when your backup PG is Toney Douglas you're always safe. At some point he'll find his game. I hope Machado gets a shot soon.

The 'sit around the arc' thing may not be his doing.

McHale and Sampson are no Mike D'Antoni - meaning they're not drawing up plays for him the same way to utilize his abilities like he showed in NY.

I like some of the improvements Jennings has made in his game this season. He's taking fewer shots, improved himself as a point guard and greatly improved his perimeter shooting. However, he's still horribly inefficient and I'm not sure how well he and Harden would mesh together. If the Rockets were going to spend that kind of money on a free agent, I would much rather it be on Millsap, Jefferson or another offensive big man who could be a No. 2 and provide some more consistent scoring inside. I feel like that's the biggest thing the Rockets are lacking right now, because too often they settle for long, contested jumpers or Harden iso plays. What they need is a guy who can consistently get them 15-20 a night in the paint and can score with his back to the basket from inside 10 feet.

I've given the scouting report on Houston....no inside game(love Asik game; but offense still improving) defenders leave assignments to meet/clog up lane vs Harden & Lin. If Patrick beats them shooting from outside great; not letting Lin/Harden beat them. Houston shots most 3's with near worst % made. Inside threat with someone who can knock down the outside shot consistently will help out Harden and whoever we use at PG.

Just read thread on this site of Lakers Kobe shooting too much....many of their fans saying Kobe not problem;the defense is the problem. Aren't we the same. Arent we getting over 100 pts each game. Dallas had about 90 FG attempts to our 72 attempts. It's a numbers game. We don't have to fall in love with the 3's people on offense. We often shoot our way out of games.

And you want to add Monta Ellis who has taken 62 three-pointers already this season and made only 13 of them? Do you see now why Monta Ellis will not help this basketball team?

Exactly. They need a legit post presence inside and/or a 3-point specialist off the bench or at PG. Ellis fits neither of these holes.

I would like to see Lin take a more traditional PG role and focus on creating shots for other players. That being said i'm not sure he can.

Well this a thread on Lin, ; I have also said Ellis has never had a center or power forward. Inside out game. Ellis can kill with 18 footers...I give in on Ellis...even though it is a small 19 game sample this season you are going by. Guy may be playing through injury(wrist or ankle). Lin defense is poor. Shot blocker like Akeem Olajuwon helps poor guard defense by Lin and Harden (rep that Harden has). Asik & Patterson little to no blocks. I might put all my money on getting D12 and maybe that will create enough space for Delfino/Parsons(offensively) and protect Lin & harden backs defensively. I still don't want Josh Smith. He is Patterson with more blocks.
******Just looked it up on Ellis. Best big men in Golden State was Al Harrington(2008)& Kwame Brown after (2008); while at Bucks Kwame Brown, Drew Gooden & now Larry Sanders(1 1/2 wks). My game plan for Ellis is for his defender to stick to him like glue...why double down on anyone else?? Drew Gooden?? Give me a break!******
Don't know if Ben Gordon has ever had a center or power forward? (Quick side note)

In 2008 Ellis; shot 34% from 3's....the only year I see that he played with decent center or power forward(Al Harrington)....I've been saying imagine him with a good center or if we brought in a good power forward. Not looking to trade Asik (& destroy).
