I know people like to use Eli's career trajectory to defend Sanchez but Eli's career is a bit of an anomaly (didn't really start breaking out till his 5th season (4th full season)). You can tell, usually, by year 3 if your QB is or isn't a franchise type player especially in the modern NFL which is a crazy QB-driven league.
PSD's "Hot Sauce"
Pro
1 - special teams not as bad as recently
2 - whole defence played great as a unit
3 - we won (against a pretty poor team)
4 - Greene solid, Powell decent
neg
1 - Sanchez (yes, he made one clutch throw, but overall was poor, committed a turnover, but in Rex's head I'm sure he did enough to start him again next game)
2 - injuries to key players
3 - McKnight. He seems like such a potentially dangerous player, and either his head isnt right or the team doesnt know how to use him, because so often he is having so little impact on games

How can we even mention Sanchez and Eli in the same sentence? Eli has been given all the tools to be a successful QB in the NFL and he's got a pretty good defense to back him up. Sanchez has literally no weapons to throw to and we have an average defense with Coples and Big Mo starting to make an impact late in the season. I know Sanchez is going to be our guy for another year but I wish he wasn't because he's just that bad![]()
