The bigger question is, when have the HEAT finished with the number 1 seed, since Wade, Lbj and bosh teamed up to defeat the evil celtics?!?

    Thats right, they haven't...

    East - Knicks over Heat

no the question is does miami care enough to take it. make no mistake, if the heat want the number 1 seed bad enough it's theirs. if the eastern conference championship was given to the number 1 seed in the regular season they'd win it no doubt. they just know it means little in the grand scheme of things since they didn't need it the last 2 years to reach the finals. the regular season to the heat is all about staying healthy so they can play their best basketball down the stretch.

unfortunately, no. It does not matter. Except to the Bulls, who relish regular season titles, only to get depantsed in the playoffs when it matters.
