If you look at his per36 numbers, he really isn't far off from the production level of his prime. If Pop wanted to run plays through him, or needed to, Duncan would still be posting 20+ and 10+ a game. He can do it. But Pop knows that the success of the team depends on the depth of th team, and so sets up an offence that gets everybody involved.

Duncan can easily play until 40, and if he was as much of a glory-hound/ball-hog as some other starts who have been in the league for 15+ years, he could be averaging 25 points a game (and he could have been average that or more since his sophomore season if he made an issue out of getting the ball the way some people do).

+1 for cyborg. The man is a machine, he's almost emotionless with the exception of his mechanical eyebrow raise which is his programmed response to a foul called on him or the sight of Joey Crawford.

He'll never retire once he gets Regenokine injected into his brain. If it works wonders for Kobe's knee imagine what it would do to your brain?

Duncan's got a very sound game. He doesn't rely on athleticism so it's not surprising he's putting up these numbers. What's been bothering him the past three years are his knees(According to Shaq, one of TD's knees are bone on bone). Duncan trained all summer and lost a lot of excess weight and found something that works for his knees according to this quote:

"My pain level is down a whole lot. I've found something that works with my brace and the treatments," said Duncan, who signed a three-year contract extension with the Spurs this offseason. "I'm just feeling good health wise."

You'll probably have to deal with him another couple years. I know how much of a headache he can be at times.

Na Pop says that jokingly, and said he wants to continue to coach as long as he can.

    Cyborg.....

Before this season I said Tim has got a couple more seasons In him, but not since he apparently found the fountain of youth whos knows. He has managed to change his game over the years to help prolong his career.
