    Mavs at Rockets 12/8/12

Last night against the Spurs was embarrassing. It seemed like a god damn Globetrotter game at times. Hopefully that game pushes Harden out of his quasi-funk and he goes on a tear again.

Hoping the Rockets can deliver a win on my birthday. Or at least not get ran out of their own friggin' building.

Last night was kind of what I was expecting more of when Harden joined this squad. He played great and absolutely nobody else stepped up. Parsons and Patterson were just bad while Asik and Lin were straight up awful. There's gonna be more nights like that this year, but I'm just glad they've been few and far between. Tonight's matchup with Dallas should be much friendlier, and hopefully Harden can continue to play well while other guys wake up.

    Happy birthday!

Yeah last night was pretty bad. No one, besides Harden, played at least well. But it was against the Spurs in San Antonio so it was kinda expected.

By the way, it seems Lin was a big, big mistake.

To be fair, Sampson's rotation hasn't been the best ever lately.

Wow. After the first quarter, I was afraid it was going to be too much like the San Antonio game, but they really clawed their way back into this one. They're killing it from threes tonight and Harden has been unbelievable. He's got 30 points on only 10 shots!!! I wouldn't be surprised if he tops 50 the way he's playing tonight.

But just like yesterday, other guys have to step up. Parsons came on in the second and both Douglas and Delfino have lit up beyond the arc, but I want to see Patterson and Asik get more involved in the offense. They're clearly willing to foul Asik, so he's got make those free throws. And Jeremy Lin needs to wake the **** up. If Harden can destroy Dallas' defense this easily, he should be able to get double digits in this game. No more excuses for him not playing better.

Lin just had two of his best offensive possessions I've seen all season. First, he nailed an open three-pointer without hesitation. On the next possession, he took the ball up the floor, pushed the tempo and found Asik for an easy layup in transition. This is the aggressive Lin we need to see more often.

Wow... And then they turn it over on three straight possessions. The Patterson turnover was especially embarrassing, because he got posterized on the other end. They had a nine-point lead and almost immediately lose the advantage...

Rockets going small ball at the end of the third quarter here with Lin, Douglas, Harden, Delfino and Patterson on the floor. And it's working. On the last possession, Delfino won a tip off and Lin threw a gorgeous outlet pass to Douglas for the layup and one. Love the way they're playing tonight.
