talk about awful drafts. this is a pretty horrible draft for the jags.

Jarvis Jones Back issue will keep him out of the jags sights. hes also way 2 1-demensional to be a good 4-3 OLB IMO. any of the regular guys such as, Moore, Joeckel, Werner, Milliner, Matthews, star, or even teo would be better picks.

as for the 2nd round pick its also pretty horrible. i dont see Barkley ever being better than Henne or Gabbert so that means we shouldnt take him because of our massive amount of needs. i would probably go with williams, Jenkins, Ryan, Poyer, barr, or even one of the wr's.

looking at it as a whole i would probably go with Werner and Jenkins. werner gives us some more passrush and Jenkins should improve this run defense and should be able to adequately replace Pot Roast who probably wont be back because his play really declined this year and was actually not starting for us anymore for journey men mosley(whos shown he can be an effective starter but hes no game changer).

This guy is against any QB essentially...so i'm just going to ignore.

Like the draft though, if we get Jones and Barkley i'd be ecstatic.

Woods over Patton and I'd be absolutely satisfied.

Eh, I think the 49ers draft will look nothing like the mock drafts. With very few roster spots (draft choices from last year have barely touched the field) and 14 drafts picks, I highly doubt SF stays pat. Look for them to make some trades. It would make a lot of sense for the 49ers to make a big splash and move up and go after a player like Sheldon Richardson(to be Justin Smith's heir). They could surrender their 2nd and one of their three 3rds to get into that range. For the sack of not predicting trades, I think John Jenkins or Xavier Rhodes would be the first round pick in this situation. If Rhodes is the first rounder, then Hunt in the second round works. If Jenkins is the first rounder, we could also consider Trufant with the late second rounder.

The Jaguars have an elite QB in Gabbert, and a 1st ballot HOF QB in Henne. Why on earth would they take Barkley in the 2nd?

im not agaisnt taking a qb. im against taking a QB early when theres no Franchise Quality QB. Barkley is a Product of the 2 Tremendously talented wrs(arguably the best Dou in college football) on the team. hes a West coast qb and that doesnt seem like the offense the jags are running to me. id be more than happy to draft a QB from round 4 back so we could have a nice backup QB or even starter depending on development.

There's a difference between using your 1st round pick on a Franchise QB and using your 2nd round pick on one.... a 2nd Round Pick on Barkley isn't an "early" pick for a potential franchise QB ... As for Gabbert, you need to lay off the Koolaid he's arguably one of the worst starting QB's in the NFL right now and hasn't progressed in 2 seasons ...

barkleys ceiling is that of Chad Henne. why would i want 2 chad hennes on the roster.

the difference of adding an Impact defender on this team will be better than that of Barkley no questions asked. the jags run defense ranks right now 32nd against the run. the jags pass rush ranks last in sacks. why shouldnt they add werner and Jenkins(huge NT that should be perfect for us to shange that run defense and keep poz clean of blockers. hell id even add a CB to upgrade our crappy cb spot.

in this draft for teams looking to get a franchise quarterback should probably not go for one there really isnt a franchise quarterback it would be smarter for a team like the jags to build up the rest of the team through the defense and the receivers and rb then get someone like alex smith or wait for a really good quarterback in another draft. Also id take tyler wilson before matt barkley there hasnt been a very good quarterback for a long time matt leinart is done and mark sanchez is awful you gotta be careful with the USC QB

I wouldnt wanna waste a pick on Barkley either. There are no massive upgrades at QB in this draft IMO and the difference in talent we'll get at other positions is worth waiting and hoping a guy like Glennon, Nassib, or Dysert is there in the 4th or 5th
