It's all about effort, and right now a JV girls team would show more than the heat.

This is so boring, but the Heat's D woes can basically be boiled down to a lack of effort. Not much else to say.

Some can blame the coach(not his fault), some can blame the lack of size(not the issue), some can blame the new guys(not the reason)

when this team decides to play with effort for the whole game, and it will come eventually, we will see a championship team.

Back on topic. I've coached at the youth, high school and college level, and I see it every day. I'd take a team of B level players who want it really bad over A level players who don't.

Its not all effort they over help as soon as the ball gets into the post...leaving shooters wide open everywhere on the perimeter. This isn't that athletic of a team especially with Wade not as explosive so react and recover schemes put slow footed players in bad positions alot of times.

Congrats.... With all playoff series' you won in the past decade, I'm sure that win was just icing on the cake.

PS: In reality, I'm a HUGE fan of what the Knicks and their FO have been able to do, and it's awesome that they're an elite team again in this league. But if you continue to troll this board with this nonsense you spew in here, you won't last long here. Adhere to the warning.

I always find it funny that fans of teams that haven't won anything important in decades treat regular season wins like championships.

Part of the problem is effort, pace, and approach. Bosh mentioned pace being the issue, LBJ mentioned effort being the issue, and Battier says its a mental problem. Reality is, it's all three. Effort and approach can be fixed, and only time will tell of Spo sticks to small ball while Battier isn't himself. Personally, I'd go back to moving Bosh back to the 4, and start Joel again but that's just me.
