"impossible to have that same fire, that same hunger" - Chris Bosh

Chris Bosh admitted that it's "impossible to have that same fire, that same hunger" after winning a championship last season.

Meh. The Championship letdown. Not the first time it's happened. I'm sure that fire and hunger will be fine come playoff time. But an 82 game season when playoffs and a playoff run are inevitable for a third straight time is probably a bit of an annoyance.

I don't think it's time to panic. It would frustrate me as a fan, but it's understandable.

But yes, if those players don't have the same hunger, and LeBron is the only guy playing hard and having another all-time great season, well, hopefully that quiets a few of the remaining detractors. Dude has always been hungry. He's a world class competitor.

Pathetic. King James is stuck with declining Wade and not motivated Bosh. I'm tired of watching King James do everything on the Heat.

How is it impossible. Didnt Wade already have a ring before the other 2 got there? He looked pretty hungry

If Miami can't find it by the playoffs, the Heat aren't going anywhere.

As good as Lebron is, he can't carry the team to a Chip by himself, especially with the strength of the field this year.

SAS, OKC, Memphis, the Knicks... not to mention the Clippers, Brooklyn and Boston can't be beaten by a one man show, even if that player is the best basketball player on the planet.

If I was a Miami fan I wouldn't be worried yet, but I sure would have some concerns.

People underestimate how hard it is to repeat. Duncan and his Spurs have never done it. Only teams to do it after the russell's celtics are 80s Lakers, 80s Pistons, JordansBulls, Hakeems Rockets, 2000s Lakers, and 2010 Lakers.

I think the lack of effort is noticeable on defense...and I do think that's something that you can flip the switch on pretty easily. Defense, especially for a veteran team with chemistry, is mostly effort.

He said last night that the Heat need to "slow down their pace" to be more effective. He was immediately checked by lebron a few minutes later by reporters when James said it really has nothing to do with pace and they just got their butts whooped plain and simple.

Bosh needs to quiet down with his histrionics and follow the leader of his team. James practicing after the game last night should have a trickle down effect to the rest of the guys. When the best player on the planet is working that hard on his game, others need to shut up and follow his lead.

Very true. Every team gives the Heat their best shot. I still think they have a good chance to repeat, but I don't think it's a given like some may think it is.

Bosh isn't the problem either. Offensively, he's easily having his best year since going to Miami.

Even Wade's struggles aren't necessarily what's doing them in. The team is still easily a top 3-5 offense this year. It's really just defense. There are no individual scapegoats...their defense is putrid right now.
