I think the Angels should think hard about signing him. If he's not going to get more than 5 years and and a little over $20 million he is really a bargain if he stays clean.
I think Hamilton is gonna re-up with the Rangers honestly.
One does not simply be a fan of both LA teams.

What happened to the market for Hamilton? I think the Yankees come in and get him on a 3 year deal.
I know not the most reliable source but apparently the Phillies just offered Josh Hamilton 3 years 80 mil

3/80?
That's 26.67 per year!
Phillies payroll would be over 200 million, wouldn't it?
btw, I don't think this is true...I wish it was, I wouldn't mind the high AAV if its only 3 years
who am I missing then?
Lee - 25
Hamels - 19.5
Halladay - 20
Howard - 20
Young - 7.2
Utley - 15
Pap - 13
Rollins - 11
Ruiz - 5
Kendrick - 4.5
Nix - 1.35
Fransden - .850
Bastardo - 1.1 (arb estimate)
At least 12 players at .500
I have 146.17 +/-
If you add Hamilton at 26.67
That's 172.84 again.
So not 200, but also not 150.
Utley comes off next season, Halladay an option, and Ruiz off, but most others get a raise.
As a Phillies fan, I'd much rather see the Phillies pursue Swisher or Ross than Hamilton because A) Swish and Ross can bat right handed and the phillies line up is predominantly left and B) they're cheaper and could definitely use some arms in the pen.
