I actually kind of liked the Figgins deal when it was made. One of the times I was clearly wrong about a player and a deal.

I supported that Figgins deal. I didn't think he would play to his 2009 self necessarily, but I didn't expect him to completely implode.

a lot of people new it was a bad idea, mariner fans were excited because they thought they were improving their team and making the angels worse, and as far as that 85 win season, the mariners had one of the worst run differentials in the league, it was obvious to everyone out side of the pacific north west that the mariners weren't about to compete.

I think the Angels should think hard about signing him. If he's not going to get more than 5 years and and a little over $20 million he is really a bargain if he stays clean.

There aging and need young talent to replace this old core. I think there concerns are gonna be if they can sign Cano to a long term deal.

As a Phillies fan, I'd much rather see the Phillies pursue Swisher or Ross than Hamilton because A) Swish and Ross can bat right handed and the phillies line up is predominantly left and B) they're cheaper and could definitely use some arms in the pen.
