Revere would have been perfect but the Phillies overpaid. We have to many holes to overpay.

Fulmer is not "totally replacable". He's going to be our top pitching prospect once Wheeler graduates.
everyone needs to calm down revere is fringe starter in this league he is closer to juan pierre then a bourn (who is overrated) the guy has 0 power cant throw and some speed, not great speed
im not trading starting pitching for a guy like that--btw im in the philly market and they hate this deal as they should you dont just make a move to make a move
i understannd we dont have any quality out fielders but id rather pay for hairston then trade anyone for revere
Yea the most I would give up for Revere is Familia. The Phillies basically gave up Gee and Familia. Way too much IMO.
Except better then Gee and Familia lol

The Twins sold high on him.
Why can't the Mets do anything?
And "ultimately," Alderson said, "we're judged on whether we win or lose."

Familia; Tapia, and Urbina for Revere???
Pretty fair deal for both sides, a guy w/ upside that may help out your team via the rotation for this year, and two starters that's a year or two away.

Agree, though I think May was over-rated as well. But Revere needs to continue to hit .290 to be a good regular. I think he might do that. But if he slips back to around .280, and doesn't improve the walks, than he's not necessarily much better than a guy like Torres.
Bourn makes more sense for Philly who is in win in now mode or else. Revere is only 24 and fits our needs in the outfield more than Philly's. Philly should have brought back Victorino and seeing as they're adding another old vet in Michael Young possibly it doesn't make sense to have a young experienced outfield to go with a veteran infield.
A 25-year old Juan Pierre would be the best OF on our team. Not trading for Revere was stupid.
And Revere does have great speed, Not "some speed". He's very fast and takes outs away. With the amount of pitching that we have stacked in our system, a deal could have, and should have been done.
