I doubt anyone here would say they're crap, but Yankees fans know how it feels to trade for a bunch of players in the offseason, with the expectation that it will make the team stronger. Just don't be surprised if those trades don't live up to expectations. It happened to us, it's happened to other teams, it could happen to the Blue Jays.

Reyes is the only one I honestly think will completely flop. You can tell he's been losing speed for years, and on that turf, he's probably going to be facing injuries this year. He's a small guy, his legs will give out eventually.

Unless Grandy is traded and Bourn is signed, I only see us going the trade route from here. I'm content with Romine starting at C. We need some youth, and he was pretty talked about prospect be for his injury this year. Good defense as well. Besides, he can't possibly hit as bad as Martin average wise.


If Bourn is signed, I could see us MAYBE trading for Upton. Big maybe.

But, I'd still be content with Grandy's 40 homers, even if it means 200 K's. We need the power with Swish and A-Rod gone.

They aren't paying him 22 million/year. They are paying him 16.6m/year. The 22m years are irrelevant when you are getting that much value out of him (and more) out and saving money in the early years.
