Except for the fact the yankees have been over 189 for a few years, those teams haven't. So it doesn't affect them immediately like it will for the yankees.

Yankees made 191 million in profit, without even including YES last year, the Yankees do sneeze at 50 million.

But if also effects the money we can spend in signing guys from IFA.

Guys like Rivera and Cano we signed through IFA.

    So keep that in mind.

We wish.. only 5 years.. The length alone makes it better than the Teix deal, Arod Deal, upcoming Cano butt raping..

    Big win for LAA

we already shot our load last year in IFA, its not a yearly thing, don't facepalm when you're wrong. And we got soriano, mussina, damon, giambi, sabathia, kuroda wtc through FA, two can play the game, and rivera and cano were both signed for 100k contracts, which if I understand correctly are unlimited

    CORRECTION

FA spending does not impact IFA signings at all, the only thing that effects IFA, is previous years IFA so the whole argument is incorrect

I love how everyone freaks out that our payroll is going to go down.

    It's quite funny.

Buying championships doesn't really work. We've tried that formula for many many years.

How many championships have we won, oh yeah. One.

Some yankees fans act like spoiled little *****es.

Over the past two decades we've made the playoffs at a 90% clip, virtually the definition of success. Winning the world series is a lot of luck.
