6/27/09: “We expect [Rondo] to play by the rules and be a leader as a point guard. We need him to be more of a leader,” Ainge said. “There were just a couple situations where he was late this year, I don’t know if he was sitting in his car, but showed up late and the rest of the team was there. We have team rules and you have to be on time. He was fined for being late, he said he was stuck in traffic, and it’s just unacceptable.”

Sure Brian Wilson is a great club house guy and fun to watch but the fact that he had 2 Tommy John surgeries in his career scares me. Also there's less then 20% chance he leaves SoCal

    I love this signing.

We have a lot of quality depth in our bullpen, plus a catching surplus, I think a trade might be in the works.

i agree. i would not be surprised a trade happens in a week or two. a trade with the Whitesox makes tomuch sense. also i wouldn't rule the cubs either they need a catcher as well and theo loves Salty & maybe Miller

Great signing. Like Lavigne said, it's great to have flexibility, you can snag the best relievers on short term deals. I really really love the depth of our pen, but the closer is a huge question mark.

Well once Napoli, Victorino, and Uehara are officially added we will have 41 players on the roster, so a move will have to be made.

    Does Kalish have options left?

Options are for the 25 man roster. To get someone off the 40man you have to dfa them, which puts them through waivers. They will probably hold off on announcing one of them until they trade a catcher. There's no way they don't trade a catcher when they have Napoli, Salty, Lavarnway, Ross, Butler, and Vasquez on the 40 man.

Unless they're on the cusp of a trade like Ellsbury for prospects. The Reds seem like the most realistic destination at this point if that were the case.
