DL the man. but this guy had good strikeout numbers as a starter so as a releiver i hope he developes into alate inning guy if he isn't healthy enough to get back to the rotation

I'm sort of impressed at the sheer Cubsness of being able to have a 40-man roster full of dreck and the 2nd pick in the best Rule 5 draft in recent memory, but still being able to come out of it with less talent than they entered (Peralta>Rondon as a prospect).

Not a franchise-changing loss or anything, but annoying.

Peralta's going to be tough for them to stash.

Only if they don't really want him.

Good or bad, every team has mop-up innings.

I heard that they're cracking down on the phantom injuries this year. Might end up getting Peralta back after all

Then there should be a good chance of sending Rondon back

Uhh, Rondon has MLB stuff and was close to MLB ready. Peralta hasn't seen AA. So...

Uhh, that was back in 2009 - he has pitched 41 innings the past 3 seasons

He's pitched in 19 games in Venezuela this offseason.
