Most of us didn't want him 3 years ago because we saw the writing on the wall.
Now that the writing is all over the walls, boards, billboards, notebooks, websites, etc. It's even worse.
Michael Young you say?

Props.LgnD.
Everybody wrote Jeter off after 2010 too..Young has been one of the most consistent hitters in the American league during his 12 year career...Once he has a set position again I think he will go back to normal.
I'm not entirely convinced his hitting ability is as bad as his numbers from last season.
I'd say he's a -10 fielder and the position adjustment at 3B is roughly -5. The value of just being on the field 150 games is roughly +20 runs. Last season, his bat was -14 runs.
So to answer your question, no.
Going forward, I expect him to be average at the plate, which bumps him up to around 1.5 wins.

Ah the ol Michael Young rehash. Is he overrated? Yes. That doesn't mean he wouldn't add value to the team. Give me Young over Frandsen and Wiggywoo
Seems like if he wanted to be here he'd have approved the trade already, so he can stay in TEX and get 200 AB.
