Cole. the raw stuff is too much
Wheeler because he won't get ruined by the Pirates.
Wheeler, because BA listed Wheeler as the best pitching prospect in the Eastern League(where Cole pitched too)

BRETT GARDNER HOME RUN METER
HOME RUN COUNT: 3
Close but Gerrit Cole.
Favourite Teams:
Boston Red Sox: 27-17
Indianapolis Colts: Decent draft, no new wide reciever though.
Detroit Pistons: Looking forward to the draft and whoever the new coach will be
Ottawa Senators: Down 2 to 1 to Pittsburgh, Game 4 on Wednesday Night, Game 5 on Friday Night and Game 6 on Sunday Night (If necessary)
Beautiful:
Wheeler, he's not out risking injury doing SEALs training made mandatory by the Pirates front office.

Cole. Wheelers is command is way behind Cole and Cole is younger

The Cult of Gattis
They both pitched in different leagues in 2012; total has Wheeler at 8.9/k 2.51 K/BB and Cole 9.3/k and 3.02 K/BB. For his MiL career Wheeler has walk rate over 4

Yeah Cole pitched in A ball before AA, so throw those numbers out of the window. The #1 pick should have never even seen that league.
Wheeler had a fingernail issue his first season in 2010, and the Giants changed his mechanics. Since joining the Mets and using his old HS mechanics, his command and control has greatly improved to the point where some scouts think he is best pitching prospect in baseball right now.
Cole has the #1 pick hype right now, so I expect many people will think he is better.
I like wheeler more as well, his fastball is arguably the best in the minors because he can throw it at 97 mph with crazy movement on it which is very hard to do when your throwing a fastball that hard, and his curve/slurve is a true knee buckler, he also can keep his velocity at 96-97mph consistently from the start of the ball game until the end.
(BA also ranked wheelers fastball and curveball as being the best in the eastern league in which cole was in)
It's very close, but I'd take Cole. Wheeler is/could be just a good, though.
Cole is good, but I will take Wheeler.
