The Giants have not targeted a player in the draft since Eli and they won't trade up for a LB, a position which has less value to them then other positions.
The FO will wait and see who drops to 19 and take the BPA.
If Te'o drops he almost certainly will be the top player on their board and they will run to the podium to get him but chances are he won't drop that far unless he runs a 4.8 or higher at the combine or fails a drug test.
Guys who could be there at 19 and would be high on the Giants board include.
OL
Chance Warmack OG, Barrett Jones OG, C, and Jonathan Cooper, G/C
I love Jake Matthews OT but if he leaves school he'll probably go top 15.
The Giants prefer to address needs in FA so I can see them replacing Diehl with a guy like Volmer of the Pats, Smith of the Bengals, or maybe Albert of the Chiefs.
DL
Johnathan Hankins DT, Jonathan Jenkins DT, Ezekiel Ansah DE, or Margus Hunt DE (who I believe will be a first rounder after he blows up the combine).
The Giants could really use a run stuffing DT and I thinks it's likely they go after Terrance Knighton of the Jags in FA.
LB
C.J. Mosley Wil LB, Alec Ogletree Mike LB, and a slim, slim chance for Manti Te'o
Again look for the Giants to address this position group in FA.
CB
Meh, actually like Xavier Rhodes or David Amerson the best and not untill the second round.
Personally I'd be thrilled with Ziggy Ansah DE in the first, David Amerson CB in the second, and Larry Warford OG in the third.

What do we do at Tackle? How much can/will Beatty command?
Alec Ogletree should be our first round pick.

Found a game tape of ziggy vs. Utah State, looks like he has alot of potential, if we can't get teo or ogletree, i'd be thrilled with this guy.
We could always trade all our picks for next years number 1 to get clowney....
