Still a little unclear, but I'm told Blanton would be "a piece" to the rotation, not necessarily the *final* piece. But details still foggy.

I'm told Joe Blanton to the #Angels is not a done deal. If they do get him, unlikely he'd end pursuit of higher-end pitchers.

Remember, the #Angels still have G.Richards in No. 5 spot, so a Blanton-type might just compete w/ him.

If this is anything more than a depth move I'm scared

Hmmm the Blanton signing I think is for us to have him as our #5 starter and then maybe the question is that if Richards in now a trade chip or being sent to AAA. Because they technically could still sign Grienke or trade for Shields.

No @JonHeymanCBS reporting that Joe Blanton getting two-year, $15-million deal from #Angels. That would seem to take them out on other SPs.
