Its clearly between Durant and CP3 right now. Followed by LBJ. These 3 along with Kobe have been the 4 best players in the league so far this year.

And 3 less wins. Wouldn't say he raises the bar at all statistically though. It's a see-saw where LBJ probably has a slight advantage, but KD is simply having a legendary scoring season (28.5 PPG on 65% TS% is out of control), and if you combine that with a much improved all around role/skill set, it's a debate on stats alone. Win Shares still likes KD.

people need to learn that amos1er doesnt actually believe what he says regarding players other than kobe. he just argues a certain standpoint so he can in some way make a similar argument to discredit lebron and credit kobe.

At this point in the season, Durant easily. I would still take LeBron over him all day long, but the MVP award is generally a good story, or the new guy on the block, and with Bron winning 3 already, the voters will be looking for someone new. Paul is starting to get into the conversation, but I think its Durants to lose at this point, unless the Clips just crush it and win the west with Paul putting up his usual numbers.

I think Lebron finishes 2nd, and either CP3 or Durant get 1st if there teams is the 1 seed while the other finishes 3rd. If the Spurs get the top spot, then Lebron will probably get MVP again as then what would be the case for Durant getting it. But then again MJ didn't even get MVP after winning 69 games.
