Would you guys rather have syndergaard and sanchez or travis d'arnaud?

d'arnaud is close and more "proven," plus franchise catchers are one in a million. the 2 of the remaining big three are young and poised to be studs, pitching is the lifeblood of success but they are both still pretty young and pitchers fizzel more than position prospects (injuries mostly). no right answer, just want some input.

We have a very good rotation, even without Dickey. And we have pitchers galore coming up.

You might be referring to Carlos Perez. He was traded in the J.A. Happ deal

Jimenez and Nessy are polar opposites. I gave a scouting report on Jimenez above. Nessy still has questionable D but tons of power in his bat. He obviously has the higher ceiling of the two, just a question of whether he can stick at C (looking more and more possible) and whether he can cut down the Ks (less of a certainty)

As much as it sucks to see us lose some highly touted prospects, we've got a really high pick in the draft this year and hopefully AA can repeat last year's strategy and manage to add 3-4 quality guys to the system. Plus, it's not like he's gonna shy away from any IFAs available. He essentially built our farm up from very little when he came in 3 years ago and even though we'll ultimately have less draft picks, I wouldn't put it past him to build up the system again.

Look what AA did with the farm when he first got here. By the time are team starts sliding in say 3-4 years are farm will be stocked again.
