Not a huge fan of Dampier but if he can give us 6 hard fouls a game, I guess it wouldn't hurt.

Dampier's tank was empty last year. Makes very little sense to bring him in and we already have an old big in Collins. Id hold the last roster spot open until somebody becomes available via buyout. Kenyon Martin would be a better option IMO...or even Birdman as somebody mentioned.

my hope is that they are floating the Dampier thing to draw attention away from their negotiations with KMart. If they sign Damp, they'll cut Collins. I'd like to see it be either Martin or Birdman that they bring in.

That thought crossed my mind also but then I thought that kmart is almost certain to sign for league minimum no matter where he signs so there really is nothing to negotiate...if we want him and he wants to come here we will sign him...if he doesnt want to come and and we dont want him we wont. Money will have nothing to do with it IMO>

I was thinking more along the lines of maybe he has multiple offers for varying amounts but all different situations and team dynamics and he may be weighing how much playing time he'd have with each club. Maybe 3 or 4 teams in need of a vet who can rebound decently and play a little D.

    Dampier, oh dear heavens no!

The guy wasn't good five years ago, now he's awful. Waste, complete waste.

    K. Martin- well this issue has come up, I wonder if someone on Boston doesn't like Kenyon, maybe Kenyon has past with player/ wants bigger role than he would receive.

That would be the only two reasons Boston hasn't called, well maybe a third is Danny has target on a player he wants to trade for but must wait until his able to do so.

A chair would be more helpful than Dampier.

I think Clint Eastwood's chair is still available off waivers.

Really though. Dampier won't solve any of our issues. I forgot about Birdman too. Go get him.. or just sign KMart already.

Louie Dampier the ABA shooting guard would be more useful, and I'm not sure if he's even alive anymore.
