    Bosher/Bryant: Elite ST Duo?

Matt Bosher: 6th in Gross Punting AVG (47.9), 7th in Net AVG (42.3), T-10th in Fair Catches.

Matt Bryant: 2nd Most FGs Made (29), 1 of 7 kickers who have made at least 4 FGs of 50+ yards (4 for 4).

I'd say Lechler+Janikowski is still the best.

Sea-Bass is still great, but Lechler is behind Bosher in all of those stats, and at age 36 he is averaging near career lows in categories like Net AVG and Punts fielded inside the 20. Not asking if you guys believe Bosher and Bryant are the best duo right now, just one of the best.

Yeah, I think so. Save for the one bad game Bryant had, he's been automatic and Bosher has been consistently great every game.

I really take them for granted because some team's kickers and punters really are terrible.

Bosher has been excellent for the last seasonish. At the end of last season he was awesome. Bryant is of course amazing.

What made me do this thread was a column (can't find it) about how some other playoff teams could be in serious trouble in December and January with their current kicking/punting situations. Our main concern has been Punt Returner, but ST are often taken for granted for teams and fans.

I was thinking earlier today about how we have a bunch of holes, very few superstars [Compared to a lot of other top teams] and yet we win. This would be a big help towards explaining it.

Not many gamechangers on defense, mostly solid players and Nolan is just out-scheming opponents. We know they have superstars on offense (and 7th in Points Scored) but lacked a consistent punishing ground game, which goes back to the interior line issues. Armstrong has put together a very solid ST unit though.

Superstars aren't an outrageous amount. Ryan/Gonzo/White/Jones and it drops off. I mean, I guess 4/11 is a good amount. Still, some teams way out number us.

I'd take a superstar punt returner right about now.

I'd take an average punt returner.
