Summer of 2003, If offered from Cleveland would they trade the#1 pick Lebron for Tmac

Let's say it is the Summer of 2003 and Cleveland has the #1 pick like they did, would both teams agree on a trade with a a 24 year old Tmac part of the equation for a 18 year old Lebron? Who accepts, who declines?

LeBron was the most hyped up player of all-time, 18, and from Ohio. I don't see this trade going down.

The Cavs wouldn't do it, the Magic were trying to get rid of TMac and plus, Lebron was one of the most hyped-up players of draft history... No chance it goes down knowing the circumstances.

I think Magic would do it and Cavs would pass.

Option 3. Orlando does it in a heartbeat but Cleveland declines.
With the deepest of regrets I am announcing that I will be leaving Pro Sports Daily. No reason in particular but wanted to thank everyone for a great 6 years here. Lots of great discussion and good poll series as well. Also fun re-drafts. Best of luck to you all in the future.

+1. They probably wouldn't trade a hometown product (especially one heralded as the next Jordan) for McGrady.

But Mcgrady was only 24 and a top 3 player in the league at the time. I can understand if he was 28.

Well Lebron was arguably better in 2010 than 2011.

I can certainly see why Cleveland would maybe say no, since they weren't anywhere near contenders, but it was like Mcgrady was 28 or so.

The most hyped player in NBA history, a hometown hero? No chance they trade him.

Well it was kinda ironic they got the #1 pick kinda like Chicago did in 2008.
