Swisher can play ball that's for sure. If giants sign him, him and pence would be my favorite players. Would make a great tag team. Don't be cheap sabe. Sign the all star just sign the Dam all star. No cash, no a-as.

I'll bet Swisher could hit it over the glove in BP.

We will be fine. I'm more concerned about whether the Dodgers will get Greinke. If they do, we may be in trouble.

I hope they sign Grienke because he will almost surely get vastly overpaid. He is no where near $160 million dollars and I wouldn't be suprised if he sucked after signing in LA due to his past anxiety issues. Nothing applies pressure like 160 million.

Can't wait for a nice platoon hitting .270 in LF. Finally got the corner outfield bopper we've been looking for.

Does he make more than 2.5 mil? If so, not happening.

    GIANTS STILL IN ON SWISHER:

Five teams have interest, or potential interest in free-agent Nick Swisher, according to sources.

Those teams are the Indians, Mariners, Orioles, Red Sox and Giants

The Red Sox would have to move center fielder Jacoby Ellsbury first. The Giants could pursue Swisher if they decide to spend on the left fielder after committing combined a $78 million to retain Jeremy Affeldt, Angel Pagan and Marco Scutaro. However, the Giants more likely to go with Gregor Blanco and a platoon partner in left.

Swisher is a switch-hitter who can play first base or outfield; his versatility adds to his appeal.

The Indians made a $44 million, four-year offer to OF Shane Victorino, before the OF made a deal Tuesday with the Red Sox.

I don't believe it. I still think they're saying the same old stuff right now. Our beat reporters are saying we don't have the money in the budget to get him, I'll believe them since they have closer ties.

I'm just hoping that Swisher takes a minor league deal with us. Hopefully he accepts our spring training invite... let's just see how much he wants to be here.
