    Giants sign Scutaro

Source: Scutaro in agreement with #SFGiants, $20 million for three years.

I'm surprised they gave him 3 guaranteed years, but this was one of the inevitable moves of the offseason.

3 years is a long time for a 37 year old 2nd/3rd baseman but i guess they had to reward him for the incredible postseason he had.

This offseason has been...interesting, to say the least. And it's only December 4th.

Welp, no Swisher to SF anymore

That LF platoon is gonna be quite the ugly one. Pagan won't come close to matching last years production. I believe Pence will have a solid year since it's his free agent season. Belt will break out. Sandoval will be real solid. Crawford solid D below average bat. Scutaro will fall back to earth. Posey will be real good, but again, won't match last years production but will come close to it.

3 years is silly. See, people laugh at the Sox for giving a 32 year old 3 years, but 3 years for 47? Damn.

Having said that, I'm a huge Marco guy from his days in Boston, so I'm happy that he set himself up financially.

    I meant 3 for 37 (years old).

On the iPhone. As I wait for my girlfriend to try on clothes at the store. Ugh.

A lot of money. But he was an integral factor for the Giants in the post season, so it is well deserved.

Hopefully he can play consistent for those 3 years.

Victorino's deal is much more laughable than Scutaro's (regardless of age).

Just like with Pagan, not crazy about the years, but I guess it was necessary to get it done.
