Hope so. Guess Hamilton doesn't care about winning. Does it make sense for a guy like him to go to a town known for it's drug use?

This would be best case scenario. Keep him away from any contender

Last night a rally was held at the space needle where hundreds of people came out with weed and everyone smoked at midnight to celebrate the legalization of recreational marijuana in washington state. Lol so to answer your question... Yes.

But good, whatever keeps him away from signing in boston. He's going to be grossly overpaid for too many years

Wow. Really? I knew the Mariners were in it, but damn. I'm assuming that the Mariners offer is the highest on the table in terms of $$$, so a little surprised they're beating other teams out.

Hope it works out for them, if not, it would suck balls for Seattle.

I just want to keep him out of the AL East, so Seattle would work for me.

I worry about someone who has battled depression and anxiety going to live in Seattle, honestly.

That being said, cant see this getting resolved until after Greinke signs, so take close with a grain of salt

Seattle had a nice run at the end of '12. They have good pitching and adding a stud like Hamilton would do wonders for their credibility. Imagine if he was still able to produce 30+ homeruns and drive in 100+ guys. That would tell other hitters that Seattle is a good destination.
Yeah, there's a drug culture there, but where isn't there one? Maybe Vatican City, but last I checked, they don't have a MLB team.
Since he's not going to sign in Toronto (my wish, not reality), why not Seattle? People laughed when Jayson Werth signed with Washington. Look at them now.

This makes no sense. The Mariners are terrible, unless more moves are to come.
