Even though Longoria is locked for the next 10 years, I don't think he's going to last that long. The Rays will keep on rebuilding since they have one of the lowest payrolls in the league. I think he will will be traded in 3-4 years.

that's pretty much a given...no way could the Rays be able to sign Price as cheaply as they signed Longoria; who signed for below market value...Signing Longoria was akin to the Mets signing Wright...if you go into the Rays shop at Tropicana Field, 90%+ of the merchandise has Longoria on it...
Has the extension actually been finalized? I really don't see why the MLBPA would approve that contract. He's a guarantee to get 18+ million per season in his arbitration seasons if the Ryan Howard arbitration ruling is any indications. They locked in one of the elite players in all of baseball long-term buying out FA years for pennies on the dollar.
