    Reds Sign Ryan Ludwick

Cincinnati is his best fit. He will put up better power numbers playing in Great American Ballpark
The Mets also had interest in the 34 year old right handed Outfielder.

    Ken Rosenthal ‏@Ken_Rosenthal

Sources: Ludwick remains in discussions with #Reds, others.
Looks like he is still in negotiations with other teams just yet.

I love Ludwick more then others do. I want the Jays personally to ink him to be our DH.

He would probably be a nice fit there

Absolutely. Hitter friendly park, protection with Reyes, Jose, EE in the lineup, would make for such a good DH. He's always been good apart from his #s in Petco.

    .373 wOBA (.367 on the road) and a 133 WRC+ (127 WRC+ on the road).

He definitely hit well on the road, it wasn't just a product of playing in Cincinnati.

I wanted the Mets to get him, but apparently they are only willing to go 2 yrs 14 mil. Probably wont be enough
It's still a game and you'd rather win it than lose it.

apparently he wants a 3 year contract and the Reds only want to give him 2.

this is what Mark Sheldon said on twitter, he's the Reds beat writer:

    Mark Sheldon ‏@m_sheldon

Hearing that Ludwick rumor on being close to signing with #reds not so true.

Addendum: I still expect Ludwick and #reds to get something done. As Jocketty said earlier, sides not far apart.

we could give him a 3 year, $39 million contract

Contrary to the original post, Ken Rosenthal is reporting that Ludwick is open to discussions with other teams. So there is still some hope if you had interest.

he is. rumor is he is closer to signing with the Reds than the Mets, but he is wanting a 3 year contract and the Reds are only offering a 2 year contract.

honestly 2 years is the most I would offer. he's not getting any younger.
